My Calling to the Nations - Jenny's Story

If you've read Scott's story, Jenny's is very similar. She developed a heart for the nations of the earth while she was a student in college. As she began to fall more in love with Jesus and learn more of His heart, she found herself longing to share the Good News of His love with all who have not had the chance to hear.

This came to a culmination while she was on a short-term outreach one year. She'd had spent all day talking with people and sharing the love of Jesus with them. That night, as they were praying and worshipping God, she told the Lord that this was what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. She wanted her life to be all about leading people to a friendship with the One who had so faithfully loved her and set her free. So she asked the Lord to reveal where He wanted her to go and what He wanted her to do, expecting a specific group of people to be highlighted.

What happened next surprised her. While she was praying, she saw a picture of a world map unroll before her and three areas were highlighted by glowing light: Africa, Europe, and India. Stunned by what she saw, she told the Lord, "No God. What ONE place do you want me to go. Everyone seems to have one place You call them to." At that time, a faithful friend was praying for her and told her, "this might sound strange but I feel like God is saying you are called to three different places and not just one". A little taken aback, Jenny journaled it down and said "ok" to the Lord and accepted that she was somehow called to three different locations during her lifetime. All that remained was to let the Lord reveal the specifics in His timing, and enjoy the scavenger hunt that ensued.
